Andrei is awesome! My fridge wasn't getting quite cold enough, so I used his website to book an appointment, and he called later that evening to confirm. He also called right before the meeting to let me know he was coming. He was unequivocal in explaining what he thought the problem was (dirty condenser coils) and told me that another problem was possible. He went out of his way to help me clear ALL the frozen food out of my freezer (and there was a lot of it) and was polite, tidy, and quick. Twenty-four hours later, my fridge stays as cold as it ought to (hooray! No more spoiled milk!). Thanks so much for your help, and we'll use him again if we need any other appliance repairs!

Andrei came, made the diagnosis, set a very reasonable price for fixing it, and fixed it, he did. It was clear to me early on that he knew his stuff very well. I recommend his work highly.

We had a refrigerator die on us, and our first assumption was that we'd have to buy a new one. Andrei came, made the diagnosis, set a very reasonable price for fixing it, and fixed it, he did. He removed an encompassing iceberg from the section with moving parts, fixed the damage, and went the extra mile in tacking on a clean-up of the coils. It was clear to me early on that he knew his stuff very well. Before leaving, he mentioned that he could repair all major home appliances, so he'll be my go-to repairman from now on. I recommend his work highly.

Andrew came out the same afternoon I called to fix my built-in Kitchenaid Refrigerator. Many companies do not repair built-in refrigerators. The freezer was icing up. He was very prompt and knowledgeable and able to diagnose the problem. He returned on Saturday (the next day) with the part and installed with no problem. The price was reasonable, and he did not try to sell me added services. He was straightforward to work with and explained what he was doing while repairing. I'm always concerned about the quality of a repair, but the work was excellent. I will call him when another issue occurs. I highly recommend Shata Appliance Services. Thank you, Andrew.

Learn How to Keep Your Refrigerator in Optimal Condition and Prolong its Lifespan with These Valuable Tips

Essential Tip: Preserve Your Refrigerator’s Integrity by Avoiding Heavy Objects on the Door

To maintain your refrigerator in optimal condition, avoiding placing heavy objects on the door is crucial. Instead, limit the weight to lighter food items. Here’s why:

Sagging Door and Distorted Door Holders:

Over time, the weight of heavy objects exerts pressure on the refrigerator door, causing it to sag. This strain can deform the door holders, compromising their functionality and stability.

Formation of Gap and Air Infiltration:

As the door sags, a noticeable gap emerges between the refrigerator door and the main body. Through this unintended opening, warm air infiltrates the refrigerator compartment, disrupting the cooling process and compromising temperature control.

Impact on Refrigerator Sealing and Temperature Maintenance:

The gap hampers the refrigerator’s sealing, resulting in an inefficient temperature maintenance system. Inadequate cooling, potential food spoilage, and increased energy consumption may occur.

To safeguard your refrigerator’s longevity and performance, consider the following suggestions:

Maintain Load Balance:
When storing items, evenly distribute the weight across shelves and compartments to prevent excessive strain on the door.

Prioritize Lighter Food Items:Reserve the refrigerator door for lighter food items, reducing stress on the door holders and preserving the door’s structural integrity.

Adhering to these guidelines can protect your refrigerator from potential damage, enhance energy efficiency, and ensure long-lasting freshness for your stored food.

A Guide to Properly Organizing Your Refrigerator for Optimal Food Storage

Introduction:

Efficiently organizing your refrigerator is crucial for maintaining food freshness, extending shelf life, and preventing cross-contamination. By strategically placing food items in the fridge, you can optimize storage space and ensure the longevity and safety of your groceries. This guide explores general guidelines for properly putting food in the refrigerator and offers specific recommendations for storing everyday items like milk. Understand Temperature Zones:

Refrigerators have different temperature zones; understanding them is vital to proper food storage. Typically, the temperature ranges are as follows:

Freezer: 0°F (-18°C) or below

Refrigerator: 32°F (0°C) to 40°F (4°C)

Crisper drawers: Slightly higher humidity and lower temperature than the rest of the refrigerator

Top Shelf: Ready-to-Eat Foods

The top shelf of your refrigerator is the warmest area. It’s ideal for storing ready-to-eat foods that don’t require cooking, such as leftovers, cooked meats, deli meats, and prepared salads. These items are usually consumed first, reducing the need to reach the back of the refrigerator.

Middle Shelves: Dairy and Beverages

The middle shelves maintain a slightly cooler temperature than the top shelf. This area suits dairy products like milk, yogurt, and cheese. Milk should be stored on the middle shelf, as it helps maintain a consistent temperature and prevents spoilage. Keep milk containers tightly sealed and avoid placing them in the refrigerator door, as it’s the warmest part of the fridge.
